New York 21st CCLC The After School Experience (TASE) 11th Bi-Annual Training Conference

The After School Experience Conference is a premier event in the After School Movement. The conference seeks to provide practical advocacy tools in communicating with policymakers, assist grantees with promoting their programs to achieve sustainability and examine systems of measuring outcomes to improve strategic planning and evaluation. There will be keynote addresses by those who have a proven track record of success, over 35 institutes and workshops by practitioners and educators in the field, student performances and exhibitors in order to achieve conference objectives.


21st Century Community Learning Centers 2008 Summer Institute

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers 2008 Summer Institute is a national conference hosted by the U.S. Department of Education and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, in conjunction with the JCPenny Afterschool fund. The conference helps attendees to connect with colleagues and leaders in the field and focuses on topics such as embedding core academic content into after school activities, learning innovating teaching strategies, using data to analyze program progress and building strong links in the community.


National Council for Community and Education Partnerships GEAR UP Annual Conference

The National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Under Graduate Programs (GEAR UP) Conference is planned in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Education and seeks to highlight the importance of K-16 community-education partnerships and the accomplishments of the GEAR UP program. The conference allows attendees to connect with others involved in K-16 education, learn about other federal and foundation sponsored college awareness efforts and helps to discover new ways of engaging the community to improve public education and promote academic excellence.
